01.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
We can support you in all areas of product development with specific focus on electronic systems, wireless sensor systems and design for harsh environments. Using a structured Phase Gate Review process to product development, we will ensure that product requirements are fully captured and documented (using e.g. MoSCoW notation) and that project risks are outlined and controlled throughout the project.
We believe that a full understanding of the product compliance requirements, including necessary regulatory approvals and certification, is essential to the product development activity. Failure Modes & Effects Analyses, Supply Chain Assessments, Design for Manufacture activities, along with Design Quality Assurance tests are carried out throughout the project to ensure a successful outcome. The latter will involve the build of prototypes and lab testing (functional, environmental, EMC, shock & vibration) as well as field tests.

We have experience in developing successful products for a range of market sectors including Rail, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Heavy Industry & Defence. Some of our specialisations are in sensors for structural and condition monitoring, wireless telemetry & IOT systems. We have a particular interest in designing for harsh environments (shock, vibration, temperature) and low power optimisation.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We are able to offer bespoke expertise in management of a wide range of engineering projects from product development to field trials to production optimisation. We can support Waterfall or Agile project management processes, working with existing processes or implementing our own as appropriate – our bespoke Phase-Gate Review process can be tailored to your individual project. We have significant experience in managing multi-disciplined engineering teams. We work best when on-site but can support remote working as needed.
We have experience in a wide range of Project Management tools including MS Project and Smartsheets.

ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT
We can support you in implementing or improving a range of Engineering Management activities such as engineering design processes, resource and capacity planning tools, change management, product lifecycle management tools, task management tools and project management processes.
Our team has considerable experience in directing and managing engineering teams in both SMEs and corporate organisations. We can also support you in effective recruitment and setting up efficient and productive team structures that suit the needs of your business.
04.
PRODUCTION SUPPORT
Key to the success of any product is getting it from a prototype to full-scale manufacture. Critical elements that ensure that this is successful are embedded within our Product Development methodology and include DfM, DfT, supply chain assessments, PFMEAs, creation of comprehensive manufacturing drawing packs, documenting assembly & test processes and definition and implementation of production tests.
We have experience in working with in-house production teams as well as out-sourced contract manufacturers.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEERING
We have experience in assessing applications for products across a range of market sectors including Rail, Oil & Gas, Heavy Industry & Renewable Energy. We can carry out field surveys to assess the complexity of installation and highlight risks and opportunities. This, combined with an understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, is used to pull together a comprehensive plan for product delivery, installation and commissioning.
